Birthparent.us is a website dedicated to providing neutral and factual information about adoption to women, men and family members who are dealing with an unplanned pregnancy. This website is unique in that it does not contain advertisements and adoptive family profiles, nor does it have an agenda to promote adoption over the other options available to women and men dealing with an unplanned pregnancy.
If you are dealing with an unplanned pregnancy, you are probably experiencing many differing emotions. You may be excited and hopeful one moment and devastated the next. You may be confused one moment and sure of your decision the next. It is important for you to know that this is a normal reaction. If you have told others about your pregnancy, you may also receive a lot of advice from them. Most people mean well when they give you advice. They are not aware that they could be adding to your stress level rather than helping reduce it.

This website is dedicated to helping you work through your feelings, answering your questions and helping you make a decision that will work for you now and in the future.
If you are facing an unplanned pregnancy, you have three options:
Carry the pregnancy to term and parent your child
Carry the pregnancy to term and make an adoption plan
Terminate the pregnancy

Each of these plans has immediate and long-term consequences.
